RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-524

A resolution recognizing Linda Borum, Administrative Assistant of the Metropolitan Codes Department Zoning Division, on the occasion of her retirement from service with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

WHEREAS, on August 29, 2008, Linda Borum a dedicated and exceptional public servant has diligently provided over 30 years of outstanding service to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County while working for the Metropolitan Codes Department Zoning Division up until her retirement; and

WHEREAS, Linda Borum has performed her duties over the past 33½ years as an Administrative Professional to the Zoning Administrator and the Board of Zoning Appeals; and

WHEREAS, a native of Tennessee, born in June of 1948, Linda Borum is a graduate of Watkins Institute in Nashville; and

WHEREAS, she served with the Traffic Violations Bureau and the Beer Board before coming to the Codes Department; and

WHEREAS, a conscientious member of her profession, Linda Borum worked with the Tennessee Department of Human Services and Children Services in helping day care providers get through local regulations; and

WHEREAS, throughout her estimable career, Linda Borum has demonstrated the utmost professionalism, ability, and integrity, winning the unbridled respect and admiration of her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Linda Borum for the great service she has given to the City of Nashville and wish for her a happy and gratifying retirement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Linda Borum, Administrative Assistant of the Metropolitan Codes Department Zoning Division, on the occasion of her retirement from service with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare copy of this Resolution to be presented to Linda Borum.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
