RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-510

A resolution accepting an enhancement grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Public Works Department, for improvements to the Amqui Station.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, has awarded an enhancement grant in an amount not to exceed $594,673.92, with a required match of $148,668.48, to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Public Works Department, for improvements to the Amqui Station; and,

WHEREAS, the required match of $148,668.48 will be fully funded by Discover Madison, Inc. in the amount of $148,668.48; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this enhancement grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the enhancement grant with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, in an amount not to exceed $594,673.92 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Public Works Department, for improvements to the Amqui Station, a copy of which enhancement grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
