RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-495

WHEREAS, Robertson County, Tennessee, has proposed an Intergovernmental Agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to allow the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office to house a limited number of Robertson County detainees; and,

WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement provides that Robertson County will cover the costs incurred by housing such detainees and will pay the Metropolitan Government $68 per day, per detainee housed; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Intergovernmental Agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Intergovernmental Agreement by and between Robertson County, Tennessee, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Department, to allow the Sheriff’s Office to house a limited number of Robertson County detainees, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
