RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-457

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management, previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency which Grant Agreement was approved by the Metropolitan Council by RS2007-107 and amended by RS2008-348; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement, as provided in Amendment 2, a copy of which is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, Amendment 2 makes a change to Section A.3 of the Grant Agreement by deleting reimbursement requests being held in abeyance until receipt of quarterly reports, deletes Sections A-5 through A-8, and adds Sections E.13 through E.16 with no change in original funding; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Amendment 2 to the Grant Agreement by and between the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management, to complete a Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan to mitigate losses from natural hazards, a copy of which Amendment 2 is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized the execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
