RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-447

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the provision of food safety services.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, for the provision of food safety services; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Grant Agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $42,900.00 from $54,900.00 to $97,800.00, a copy of which Amendment 1 is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Amendment 1 to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the provision of food safety services, a copy of which Amendment 1 is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
