RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-438

A resolution approving an amendment to a contract by and between the Metropolitan Board of Health and Vanderbilt University for the Health Department’s participation in the Tuberculosis Trials Consortium.

WHEREAS, the Board of Health and Vanderbilt University previously entered into an agreement pursuant to which the Health Department received grant funds from Vanderbilt University and participated in the Tuberculosis Trials Consortium; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the contract to extend the period of performance and to modify the scope and compensation provisions.

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the amendment to the contract by and between the Metropolitan Board of Health and Vanderbilt University extend the period of performance and modify the scope and compensation provisions of the contract, a copy of which amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
