RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-418

A resolution approving an application for a grant from the Tennessee Historical Commission to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical Commission, to research and update historic property inventories and for historic zoning design review.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Historical Commission is accepting grant applications to research and update historic property inventories and for historic zoning design review with an award of $7,020.00 with a required cash match of $4,680.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant application of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical Commission, to research and update historic property inventories and for historic zoning design review, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Historical Commission is authorized to submit said grant application to the Tennessee Historical Commission.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
