RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-410

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee Department of Health to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide nutritious food to low-income clients.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to provide nutritious food to low-income clients (RS2007-2112); and,

WHEREAS, the parties with to amend the grant contract by adding Section E. 13 regarding state interest in equipment and reallocating money for the purchase of a cargo van for home deliveries, a copy of which Amendment 1 is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Amendment 1 to the grant contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to provide nutritious food to low-income clients, a copy of which Amendment 1 is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
