RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-398

A resolution accepting a donation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by Kroger Store 866 for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for the DARE Program.

WHEREAS, Kroger Store 866 wishes to donate $200.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for the DARE Program; and,

WHEREAS, a copy of the agreement regarding the donation is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation of $200.00 by Kroger Store 866 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the DARE Program pursuant to the agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is authorized to accept the donation for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
