RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-361
A resolution appropriating $565,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for streetscape improvements in the Cass Street Neighborhood Strategy Area.
WHEREAS, applications for the 2005-2006, 2006-2007, and 2007-2008 years included funds allocated to the Cass Street Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $565,000 has been recommended for pedestrian crosswalks, sidewalks, pedestal/street and stop signs, neighborhood watch signs, park benches, park pavilion, trash receptacles and public street lights improvements in the Cass Street Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
WHEREAS, plans for the above referenced projects are available for review at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY;
SECTION 1. That $565,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Cass Street Neighborhood Strategy Area be appropriated for pedestrian crosswalks, sidewalks, pedestal/street and stop signs, neighborhood watch signs, park benches, park pavilion, trash receptacles and public street lights improvements in the Cass Street Neighborhood.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
