RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-332
A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with the Nolensville/College Grove Utility District of Williamson County, to transfer water service to the Home Depot Development in Williamson County to Metro Water Services.
WHEREAS, The Interlocal Cooperation Act, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 12-9-101 et seq., authorizes public agencies to enter into agreements for joint undertakings, subject to approval of Council; and
WHEREAS, it is in the parties’ interest to enter into an agreement whereby Nolensville College/Grove Utility District, will transfer to the Metropolitan Government the right to service the Home Depot Development on Parcels 082.00 and 082.02 on Williamson County Tax Map 33 located in Williamson County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.
Section 1. The Interlocal Agreement with the Nolensville/College Grove Utility District, transferring water service to the Home Depot Development, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
