RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-331

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to purchase and demolish a home located in a flood plain at 4808 Milner Drive.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, through the Metropolitan Council’s passage of resolution RS2007-88, previously accepted a grant from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to purchase and demolish a home located in a flood plain at 4808 Milner Drive; and,

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, after the Metropolitan Council’s passage of resolution RS2007-88, sought to amend the language of the contract in a manner that does not alter the essential content of the contract; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to the grant contract, previously approved by the Metropolitan Council by Resolution RS2007-88 be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That the amendment to the grant by and between the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to purchase and demolish a home located in a flood plain at 4808 Milner Drive, a copy of which amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2: Any further amendments to this legislation may be approved by resolution.

Section 3: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
