RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-326

A resolution approving an application for the adult homemaker services program grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Department.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee is accepting applications for the adult homemaker services program grant, with an award of $301,765.00 and a cash match of $75,441.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant application of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Department, for the adult homemaker services program grant, with an award of $301,765.00, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Social Services Department is authorized to submit said grant application to the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
