RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-211

A resolution approving an extension of the contract for services by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Seton Corporation d/b/a Baptist Hospital for assistance in providing services to WIC eligible women, infants, and children.

WHEREAS, Seton Corporation d/b/a Baptist Hospital, in accordance with the contract extension attached hereto and incorporated herein, wishes to continue assisting in providing services to WIC eligible women, infants, and children to the Metropolitan Board of Health ; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the agreement by extending the term of the contract for a term beginning on or about April 16, 2008 through April 15, 2010; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this extension be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract extension by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Seton Corporation d/b/a Baptist Hospital, for assistance in providing services to WIC eligible women, infants, and children, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
