RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-194

A resolution approving a contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the General Sessions Court – Probation Division, and B.I. Incorporated for the lease of electronic monitoring equipment.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Code of Laws Section 5.04.020 provides that all leases of equipment shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for the lease exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

WHEREAS, the annual expenditure to lease electronic monitoring equipment for use by State Trial Courts, pursuant to the attached contract with B.I. Incorporated, will exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

WHEREAS, the attached contract with B.I. Incorporated was procured by Request for Proposal Number 06-115; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the General Sessions Court – Probation Division, and B.I. Incorporated, for the lease of electronic monitoring equipment, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
