RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-192
A resolution appropriating $570,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for streetscape improvements in the Salemtown Neighborhood Strategy Area.
WHEREAS, application for 2005-2006, 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. BL2004-425, BL2005-857 and BL2006-1282; and
WHEREAS, the applications for the 2005-2006, 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 years included funds allocated to the Salemtown Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $570,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for streetscape improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That $570,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to be used for streetscape improvements in the Salemtown Neighborhood Strategy Area.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
