RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-164

A resolution approving an amendment to a contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract agreement with the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS to the Metropolitan Public Health Department; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that contract agreement to extend the contract term by one month, ending on March 31, 2008 , a copy of which Amendment 3 is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved, and the contract extended.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Amendment 3 to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS, a copy of which Amendment 3 is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
