RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-132

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the United States Department of Homeland Security to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to support the implementation of Buffer Zone Plans outside the perimeter of identified critical infrastructures.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the United States Department of Homeland Security to support the implementation of Buffer Zone Plans outside the perimeter of identified critical infrastructures, which Grant Agreement was approved by Resolution RS2007-6; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement to include Section A. 1 which provides that all service and deliverables shall meet service and delivery timelines specified in the contract, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Amendment to the grant by and between the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to support the implementation of Buffer Zone Plans outside the perimeter of identified critical infrastructures, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
