RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-8
A resolution approving an extension and amendment to a contract by and between the Metropolitan Government and the Campus for Human Development to provide room and board for homeless individuals participating in substance abuse treatment through the Downtown Clinic.
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Charter Section 10.104 provides that the Board of Health has the duty to contract for such services as will further the program and policies of the board, subject to confirmation by Resolution of Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Health entered into a contract with the Campus for Human Development to provide room and board for homeless individuals participating in substance abuse treatment through the Downtown Clinic, which was approved by RS2006-1612; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Health wishes to extend its contract with the Campus for Human Development for an additional year, to begin on July 1, 2007, and terminate on June 30, 2008, and to amend its contract to set compensation for the extension; and,
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the amendment to the contract by and between the Metropolitan Government and the Campus for Human Development, to provide room and board for homeless individuals participating in substance abuse treatment through the Downtown Clinic, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
