RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-59
A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Government to enter into an interlocal agreement with the City of LaVergne to transport wastewater flow from parcels of land in Davidson County through the City of LaVergne’s sewer system back into Metropolitan Government’s sewer system.
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Tennessee Code Annotated Sections 12-9-101 et seq., authorizes public agencies to enter into agreements for joint undertakings, subject to approval by Resolution of Council; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interests of the Metropolitan Government and the City of LaVergne to enter into an agreement, as attached hereto, whereby the Metropolitan Government will have the ability to transport wastewater flow from certain parcels of land in Davidson County through the City of LaVergne’s sewer system back into Davidson County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.
SECTION 1. The Interlocal Agreement by and between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the City of LaVergne, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the same.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
