A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the Saint Thomas Health Services Fund to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to coordinate behavioral health services for uninsured and underinsured persons.

WHEREAS, the Saint Thomas Health Services Fund has awarded a grant to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to coordinate behavioral health services for uninsured and underinsured persons and such grant was approved and accepted by the Metropolitan Council by Resolution RS2006-1611; and,

WHEREAS, the Saint Thomas Health Services Fund wishes to extend the duration of the grant to November 21, 2008, and reimburse provider in the amount of $59,749.00; and

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant amendment be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant amendment by and between the Saint Thomas Health Services Fund, in an amount not to exceed $59,749.00 to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to coordinate behavioral health services for uninsured and underinsured persons, a copy of which grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is to be appropriated to the Department of Health based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
