A resolution approving an Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the State of Tennessee, Property Utilization Division, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, for acceptance of equipment to be utilized by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department’s Drill and Ceremony Team.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the State of Tennessee, Property Utilization Division, to provide for equipment to be loaned for use by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD); and,

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Property Utilization Division, has agreed to supply sixty (60) .45 caliber semi-automatic pistols to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for utilization by the MNPD’s Drill and Ceremony Team; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the agreement, the MNPD agrees to pay the associated shipping, processing, and transfer fees, not to exceed $1,273.00, from the MNPD budget; and,

WHEREAS, the approval of this Intergovernmental Agreement is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the State of Tennessee, Property Utilization Division and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
