A resolution approving a contract amendment by and between the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government previously entered into a contract with United Way of Metropolitan Nashville for assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS to the Metropolitan Public Health Department, which contract was approved by RS2007-2027; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that contract to increase the contract amount to a new total of $3,117,037.00, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract Amendment by and between the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
