RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-2089
A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for air pollution control.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the United States Environmental Protection Agency for air pollution control; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement to increase the amount by $260,081.00, to a total of $411,881.00, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to the grant be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Amendment to the grant by and between the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Board of Health, for air pollution control, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant is to be appropriated to the Health Department, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
