A resolution accepting an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to assist with the recruitment and training of employees of Gateway Pro Partners, LLC (06-09-FY6-2FT-STATE).

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the Tennessee Department of Labor to assist with the recruitment and training of employees of Gateway Pro Partners, LLC, which grant was approved by RS2006-1440; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement to change the grant ending date from June 30, 2007 to December 31, 2007, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto; and,

Whereas, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1.         That the grant ending date change from June 30, 2007 to December 31, 2007, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2.         That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-2086

Mr. President:

I move to amend Resolution No. RS2007-2086 by deleting in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new Section 1:

“Section 1. That the Amendment to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Labor and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to assist with the recruitment and training of employees of Gateway Pro Partners, LLC, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.”
