A resolution approving an amendment to the lease agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Martha O’Bryan Center, Inc. to extend the existing lease term (Proposal No. 2007M-104).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Director of Public Property Administration for the Metropolitan Social Services Commission has negotiated to extend the term of said lease from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2010 at the current monthly rental rate of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00), a copy of which is attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, Said lease was approved and accepted by the Metropolitan Council by ordinance (Bill No. 099-1558); and

WHEREAS, Bill No. 099-1558 provided that amendments to this bill shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes; and

WHEREAS, It is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment to the Lease Agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the second amendment to the lease agreement entered into between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Martha O’Bryan Center, Inc., to lease office space at 711 South 7th Street, Nashville, TN 37206, as described in the lease, which extends the lease term for three years from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2010 at the current monthly rental rate of six hundred ($600) dollars, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Director of Public Property is authorized to execute the same.

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take affect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
