A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for homemaker services.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, for homemaker services; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement to modify notices to the public on how to present grievances about the services of the program, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Amendment to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, for homemaker services, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Metropolitan Social Services based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
