RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-1942
A resolution appropriating $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the installation of public street improvements of pedestrian crosswalks, related sidewalk ramps, along with associated curbing, signage, lighting and greenscape elements for the Buchanan Street Neighborhood Strategy Area.
WHEREAS, applications for the 2003-2004 and 2004 -2005 years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. BL 2002-1230 and BL 2003-64; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $500,000 has been recommended by citizen public input to be used for the installation of public street improvements of pedestrian crosswalks, related sidewalk ramps, associated curbing, signage, lighting and greenscape elements for the Buchanan Street Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
WHEREAS, plans for the above referenced projects are available for review at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY;
SECTION 1. That $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Buchanan Street Neighborhood Strategy Area be appropriated for installation of public street improvements of pedestrian crosswalks, related sidewalk ramps, along with associated curbing, signage, lighting and greenscape elements for the Buchanan Street Neighborhood Strategy Area
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
