A resolution recognizing and congratulating the Antioch High School Class of 2007 graduating seniors.

WHEREAS, the graduates of Antioch High School will receive their diploma on Saturday, May 19, 2007, in the Curb Event Center at Belmont University; and

WHEREAS, through diligent study, steady composure during examinations, and steadfast commitment of time and talent, the graduating students from Antioch High School have achieved outstanding academic success, and have joined the ranks of the best and brightest students in the community; and

WHEREAS, with hard work and determination they have strived for and attained the goal set before them years ago when they began their formal education, and have successfully completed the course of study required to earn their high school diploma from Antioch High School; and

WHEREAS, these students are honored for the years of dedication, their pursuit of excellence, and studious work which has proven their exceptional ability within the realm of knowledge and are clearly deserving of respect and admiration; and

WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Antioch High School graduating class are not to be taken lightly.  The commitment was made by each individual to chart a course and to finish victorious; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes the Antioch High School graduates and find it fitting and proper to recognize you as a graduating student of Antioch High School, Class of 2007, and congratulate you on your high school graduation, salute your numerous accomplishments and wish you all the best as you move forward.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.  The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing and congratulating the Antioch High School Class of 2007 graduating seniors.

Section 2.  The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to the Antioch High School Class of 2007 graduating seniors.

Section 3.  This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
