RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-1901

A resolution appropriating $20,000 from the Reserve Council Infrastructure Program, Nonprofit Grants and Council Initiatives Account of the General Fund of the General Services District to the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation to provide the matching funds for a Tennessee Department of Transportation grant and for improvements to St. Bernard’s Park.

WHEREAS, as part of Substitute Ordinance No. BL2006-1090, the fiscal year 2006-2007 operating budget for the Metropolitan Government, the Metropolitan Council appropriated $1.95 million to a reserve account for the Council Infrastructure program, Nonprofit Grants and Council Initiatives; and

WHEREAS, the council desires to appropriate $20,000 from the Reserve Council Infrastructure Program, Nonprofit Grants and Council Initiatives Account of the General Fund of the General Services District to the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation to provide the match for the TDOT Roadway Grant, 21st Avenue South Gateway, with the remainder for improvements to St. Bernard’s Park.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.          There is hereby appropriated the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) from the Reserve Council Infrastructure Program, Nonprofit Grants and Council Initiatives Account of the General Fund of the General Services District to the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation to provide the matching funds for a Tennessee Department of Transportation grant and for improvements to St. Bernard’s Park.

 Section 2.         This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
