A resolution approving a contract between AmeriGroup Tennessee, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson Country acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health whereby the Metropolitan Board of Health will be a provider of health care services for persons enrolled in the TennCare program.

Whereas, AmeriGroup is authorized to arrange for the provision of managed health care services to persons covered under the TennCare program; and

Whereas, AmeriGroup desires that the Metropolitan Board of Health provide health care services to such covered persons; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Board of Health will be a Participating Provider of health care services facilitated by AmeriGroup for persons covered by the TennCare program; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1.  That the contract by and between AmeriGroup Tennessee, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, whereby the Metropolitan Board of Health will be a provider of health care services for persons enrolled in the TennCare program, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2.  That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
