RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-1852
A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee Department of Health to the Metropolitan Government to provide dental services through the Downtown Clinic for the Homeless.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the Tennessee Department of Health to provide dental services through the Downtown Clinic for the Homeless, which Grant Agreement was approved by Resolution RS2006-1455; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the scope of services in that Grant Agreement by modifying the scope of services to allow the Metropolitan Public Health Department more flexibility in contracting for dentist services; and,
Whereas, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the Amendment to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Health and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to provide dental services through the Downtown Clinic for the Homeless, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Health Department based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
