A resolution amending the pay plan for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County approved under Resolution No. RS2005-872, by adding the position of Metropolitan Auditor.

Whereas, a pay plan was adopted for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by passage of Resolution No. RS2005-872; and

Whereas, on November 7, 2006, the voters of Davidson County, Tennessee, approved an amendment to the Charter of the Metropolitan Government by adding a new Section 8.121 thereto to establish a new and independent Department of Audit directed by the newly-created position of Metropolitan Auditor and generally overseen by a newly created Metropolitan Audit Committee; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan County Council presently has pending before it Ordinance No. BL2007-1318, creating the position of Metropolitan Auditor; and

Whereas, upon passage of Ordinance No. BL2007-1318, it will be necessary to amend the pay plan created by Resolution No. RS2005-872 to provide for this position.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1.  That the pay plan for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, established by Resolution No. RS2005-872, is amended by including the position of Metropolitan Auditor. This position is designated as Class No. 10530 and is assigned to the DP02 salary grade.

Section 2.  That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
