A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to provide employment services to refugees.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to provide employment services to refugees, which Grant Agreement was approved by Resolution RS2006-1418; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement to delete and substitute Section D.9 as described in the Amendment attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Amendment to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to provide employment services to refugees, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
