RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-1803

A resolution recognizing and congratulating Deputy District Attorney Tom Thurman, Police Sergeant Pat Postiglione and Detective Bill Pridemore on being named the Nashville Scene's 2006 "Nashvillian(s) of the Year".

WHEREAS, it is fitting to recognize those distinguished men who are dedicated citizens and through their extraordinary efforts have given their time, skills and energy for the betterment of Nashville; and

WHEREAS, Deputy District Attorney Tom Thurman, Police Sergeant Pat Postiglione and Detective Bill Pridemore are such individuals who through their perseverance, tenacity and commitment have worked tirelessly in bringing conclusion to the Janet March case; and

WHEREAS, Deputy District Attorney Tom Thurman, Police Sergeant Pat Postiglione and Detective Bill Pridemore are recognized nationally for their countless hours in keeping this investigation on-going until bringing justice to this chapter in Nashville crime history; and

WHEREAS, this recognition has been bestowed upon them for their outstanding and praise-worthy service to the City of Nashville; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Deputy District Attorney Tom Thurman, Police Sergeant Pat Postiglione and Detective Bill Pridemore who have been justly and deservedly given the 2006 "Nashvillian(s) of the Year" honor and wish them success in their future endeavors.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing and congratulating Deputy District Attorney Tom Thurman, Police Sergeant Pat Postiglione and Detective Bill Pridemore on being named the Nashville Scene's 2006 "Nashvillian(s) of the Year".

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Deputy District Attorney Tom Thurman, Police Sergeant Pat Postiglione and Detective Bill Pridemore.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
