A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to accept $20,625.19 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County's subrogation claim against Sean Hayes for lost wages and medical bills.

Whereas, on January 19, 2006, Metro employee, Mackovis Peebles was involved in a vehicular accident; and,

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government incurred $22,793.32 damages in medical bills and $9,214.83 damages in lost wages; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section One is herein fair and reasonable and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $20,625.19.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $20,625.19 in compromise and settlement of its medical bills and lost wages claim against Sean Hayes, and said funds shall be deposited into the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
