A resolution approving an interlocal agreement with the City of Goodlettsville for use of the Police Department's mug shot system.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department uses and maintains a mug shot system, which other police departments may from time to time wish to access and utilize; and

Whereas, the Agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the City of Goodlettsville, by and through its Police Department, attached hereto, provides for the Goodlettsville Police Department to access and utilize the Metropolitan Police Department's mug shot system; and

Whereas, approval of the Agreement will benefit the citizens of Davidson County; and

Whereas, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 12-9-104 provides that Interlocal Agreements between political subdivisions of the State may be approved by Resolution.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the City of Goodlettsville for use of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department's mug shot system, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That any amendments to the terms of the Agreement must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
