RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1681
A resolution amending Substitute Resolution No. RS2006-1270 by extending the deadline for the Council Human Resources Task Force to issue its report to the Metropolitan Council until July 1, 2007, and modifying the membership of the Task Force.
WHEREAS, Substitute Resolution No. RS2006-1270, adopted on April 18, 2006, established a Council Human Resources Task Force to address the need for an economic impact study regarding out-of-county employees, a best practices study for the Metropolitan Council Office, and other human resources issues affecting the Metropolitan Council; and
WHEREAS, Substitute Resolution No. RS2006-1270 further provided that the Council Human Resources Task Force was to report back to the full Council as to its findings and recommendations within 180 days; and
WHEREAS, the Council Human Resources Task Force needs additional time to complete its work; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to extend the reporting deadline for the Council Human Resources Task Force until July 1, 2007.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Substitute Resolution No. RS2006-1270 is hereby amended by amending Section 3 by extending the deadline for the Council Human Resources Task Force to report its findings and recommendations to the Council until July 1, 2007.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
