A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the claim of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County against American Disposal Service, LLC for $58,992.88.

Whereas, American Disposal Service, LLC, incurred a tipping fee balance due to the Department of Public Works in the amount of $52,109.88; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable and recommends that this claim be compromised and settled and that this amount be accepted from American Disposal Service, LLC, in six monthly installment payments.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle its claim against American Disposal Service, LLC for the amount of $58,992.88, representing the total tipping fee balance due plus interest, which amount should be accepted from American Disposal Service, LLC, in six monthly installment payments.

Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
