A resolution approving an application for a grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for improvements to the ROW at the Interchange at Woodland Street and Main Street.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Transportation is accepting applications for a Tennessee Roadscapes grant with an award of $65,840 and a required match of $16,460; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, the matching funds in the amount of $16,460 could be provided from the District 6 Infrastructure funds; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government's application for the grant for improvements to the ROW at the Interchange at Woodland Street and Main Street, with an award of $65,840, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same, and said application is authorized to be submitted to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
