RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1545

A resolution approving a contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc., for the provision of services related to the Women, Infants and Children program.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Health has approved a contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc., for the provision of services related to the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract by and between the The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc., for the provision of services related to the Women, Infants and Children program, a copy of which grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Mr. President:

I move to amend Resolution No. RS2006-1545 as follows:

1. By adding the following recital clause:

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government will continue to administer the WIC program generally and the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center will only be authorized to administer WIC at its clinic.
