RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1544
A resolution approving an amendment to a cooperative agreement between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for air pollution control.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for air pollution control; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the cooperative agreement to increase the amount to be provided by the EPA by $122,181, for a new total of $447,266; and,
WHEREAS, this Amendment would also increase the required match by $8,985, for a total match of $299,541, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Amendment to the cooperative agreement by and between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for air pollution control, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Health Department based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
