RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1479

A resolution recognizing James F. Holt, Jr., for his most generous contribution to the Hadley Park Junior Tennis Development Program Inc.

WHEREAS, Mr. James F. Holt, Jr., Chairman and CEO of The Holt Southeast Corp., and an avid tennis player himself, is instrumental in keeping the youth tennis program opened at Hadley Park; and

WHEREAS, this noteworthy businessman has graciously provided the gift needed to allow the Hadley Park's youth tennis players the opportunity to continue with the tennis program; and

WHEREAS, the Hadley Park Junior Tennis Development Program, Inc. has truly made a positive impact on countless young lives; and

WHEREAS, such programs as the Hadley Park Junior Tennis Development Program provides a strong foundation for fitness, helps develop coordination, flexibility, and strength, and fosters self esteem and confidence in our youth; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Mr. James F. Holt, Jr., for his notable generosity in making a difference in the many lives of those less fortunate, and who will forever be remembered for this worthy act of kindness.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing James F. Holt, Jr., for his most generous contribution to the Hadley Park Junior Tennis Development Program Inc.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to James F. Holt, Jr.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
