RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1466

A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to accept $9,320.26 in compromise and settlement of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County's claim against Angela Randolph for damage to its vehicle.

Whereas, on December 1, 2005, Angela Randolph was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused damage to a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government and personal injury to Christopher Upchurch, an employee of the Police Department; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section I is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim, for damage to its vehicle be compromised and settled in the amount of $9,320.26.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $9,320.26 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Angela Randolph for damage to its vehicle, and said funds shall be deposited into the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
