A resolution approving a research services contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Vanderbilt University Medical Center for a study to identify patients with suspected tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection.

Whereas, Vanderbilt University has been selected to identify patients with suspected tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection; and

Whereas, the Board of Health has executed a research services contract with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, attached hereto.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract by and between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Board of Health, for a study to identify patients with suspected tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection, as attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Mr. President:

I move to amend Resolution No. RS2006-1457 as follows:

By deleting Section 1 in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new Section 1:

Section 1. That the contract by and between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Board of Health, pursuant to which the Health Department will receive $16,250 from Vanderbilt University for a study to identify patients with suspected tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection, as attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
