RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1450
A resolution appropriating $193,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds to reconstruct public tennis courts at the corner of 16th Avenue North and Phillips Street adjacent to Fisk University and Andrew Jackson Homes.
WHEREAS, application for the 2002-2003 year of the Community Development Block Grant program was approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. BL 2001-868; and
WHEREAS, the application for the 2002-2003 year included funds allocated to the Jefferson Street Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $193,000, has been recommended to be used for the reconstruction of public tennis courts at the corner of 16th Avenue North and Phillips Street adjacent to Fisk University and Andrew Jackson Homes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That $193,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to be used for the reconstruction of public tennis courts at the corner of 16th Avenue North and Phillips Street adjacent to Fisk University and Andrew Jackson Homes.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
