A resolution approving an Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the City of Brentwood, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, providing access to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department Mug Shot system.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department wishes to enter an agreement with The City of Brentwood to allow the City of Brentwood to access to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department Mug Shot system, in the interests of sharing information and assisting in law enforcement efforts; and

Whereas, this contract shall initially be in effect for one (1) year, and may be renewed, at the option of the Metropolitan Police Chief, on a year-to-year basis for up to four (4) additional years thereafter; and

Whereas, The City of Brentwood shall bear its own costs in relation to this agreement.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement by and between The City of Brentwood and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, providing for access to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department Mug Shot system, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
