A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the claim of Assegepech Zeluel against the Metropolitan Government for the amount of $6,933.17.

Whereas, on August 16, 2005, Michael Binkley, a Metropolitan Government employee, was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused property damage and personal injury to the claimant, Assegepech Zeluel; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement of $6,933.17 is fair and reasonable and in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government, and recommends that the claim be paid from the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle the claim of Assegepech Zeluel in the amount of $6,933.17 with said amount to be paid from the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
