A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Health to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Board of Health, for alcohol and drug abuse services.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the Tennessee Department of Health for alcohol and drug abuse services; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $65,000, to a new total of $195,200, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Amendment to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Health and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for alcohol and drug abuse services, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Health Department based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
