RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1359
A resolution approving an application for a grant from the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for Juvenile Court employee training.
WHEREAS, the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth is accepting applications for grants for purposes of improving juvenile court services, with an award of $9,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the application for a grant for Juvenile Court employee training, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same, and said application is authorized to be submitted to the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
